Sgt. Major Sir. Vincent Wolfe K.G.

Vincent hails from York and is the second born son of an Earl, which in due course led to him being ushered into the military. His service was exemplary throughout his early career and assignments, most notably a time when he was escorting a sizeable treasury shipment that came under attack. After the commanding officer fell to an arrow strike, he rallied the remaining men and soundly defeated the attackers. Along with his growing reputation, his father was very close to the Duke of York, Sir William DeLacey, and was able to successfully petition DeLacey to find a place within the Royal Guard for Vincent. After transferring to the Royal Guard, he moved through the ranks to Sgt Major and continues to devote his life to his Sovereign.
While in service, Vincent’s elder brother Gavin passed away, leaving him the sole heir to his father's title and properties. Even with this change in his potential fortunes, he feels his intended place is by his Sovereign, standing alongside his fellow Guardsmen. Moreover, his father is in excellent health, so he has no wish to put much thought towards that path at present.
Vincent is happiest when with his fellow Guardsmen and friends (a goodly chance while at the pub), most often causing some sort of mischief for the good of a hearty laugh. His is always quick to offer a smile and share a laugh, and prides himself on being able to share a touch of humor in any situation.
Vincent is a very adept swordsman, along with several other weapons, as his private collection of sharp and pointies will attest to. At the same time, he also believes that knowledge can be as powerful as any weapon, or even more so. He is naturally watchful and contemplative, constantly observing his surroundings, and thus keeps a keen ear and eye on everything within his charge.
Vincent also has a deeply rooted, albeit somewhat justifiable, distrust of small wooden benches

Sir Christopher Burke K.G.

Burke started with the Royal Guard in 2001 under the first year of a new king at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. He served under King Richard, then Queen Margret, and then King Henry. In 2006 he left the guard to join the Royal Court as The Chancellor of the Exchequer. Between 2006 and 2017 he co-directed one of the fight troops at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and was co-director of the Viking Encampment. In 2012 he was inducted into the Most Noble Order of the Garter by his fellow cast members at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. 2017 brought him back to the guard along with his passion for weapons history and techniques he can be seen every day sharing his knowledge and passion for history with all of our visitors at the show we perform at.

Edmund Longfellow

Edmund Longfellow is a descendant of a long line of soldiers, his father and grandfather having also served as members of the Royal Guard. As a young man, Longfellow left his native England to pursue riches and glory, and further his martial abilities. He studied under German and Italian swordmasters, and fought in many battles across the continent as a mercenary. Longfellow specializes in the use of the longsword and greatsword. He would eventually return to England, bringing his skills and expertise to His Majesty's Royal Guard.

Robert Wylde

First born son of a northern Baron near Aydon Castle. My father was run out of his land leaving a name and nothing else. Seeing myself outnumbered by enemies, not of my own making, I took my name and what little was left in the armory and volunteered to become one of the Forlorn Hope. Landing just north of Calais, I spent 3 years being the front line of every major engagement, and by God's grace, came out with my life and my father's name restored. Known for my remarkably unconventional and insane tactics and plans that somehow work. Also known for my uncanny knowledge of artillery caught the attention of His Majesty and bestowed the great honor of joining his personal body guard. A few of the many honors bestowed upon myself include being named one of Her Majesties Champions and being a royal emissary to various visiting diplomats.
